As expected, ‘Son of Sardaar’ is an out and out Masala film with lots of dishum dishum, brainless humour and Gaana Bajaana. The first scene has Jaswinder Singh Randhawa aka Jassi (Ajay Devgn) fight alone with 20 goons who disrespect his turban and shows that he isn’t the one to be messed with. SOS has everything that you can think of in an Hindi film viz Baap Ki Maut ka Badla (revenge), Khandaani Dushmani (family rivalry), the melodrama and finally falling in love with a girl of the rival family. Now, if you thought that these were things we saw in the 80s or 90s, here’s SOS reminding you of them once again.
