She has spent her adult life, Being Strong, Speaking the Truth and Spreading Peace. She is a great role model for all women. Being Gay is just part of who Melissa Etheridge is. She is a caring, special individual fighting for causes other than Gay Rights. However, Gay rights are something that is long overdue. Since when (not including slavery!) do we make a group of United States Citizens, 2nd class. That isn't what our Constitution says. Gays are denied over 1,200 civil rights that many non-gays take for granted. It's about time our Country stand for equallity and love one another again.
