South Africa have increased their lead in the second innings, thanks to an unbeaten century from AB de Villiers and a half-century from captain Graham Smith. Hashim Amla also played a big part, scoring 74 not out.

Umar Gul took two wickets and Saeed Ajmal the other, but South Africa were able to make quick progress, before declaring when they felt their lead was big enough.

Pakistan now need 480 to win, and have two and half days of play left to salvage anything from the match.
