South Africa will play New Zealand in the third and final ODI of the series at Potchefstroom on the 25th of January. This match, however, will have no role in the outcome of the series, as the Kiwis won the second ODI at Kimberly to take an unassailable 2-0 lead over the Proteas. It has been very good cricket so far by the visitors, who came in to the series expecting to get steamrolled by South Africa. Their performance has been far better than when they were torn apart in the two recent test matches by the South Africans. On the other side of things, all South Africa can now hope for is a win in the final match to end a rather disappointing series on a winning note.
