Cannibal! The Musical, the first film from South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, is being adapted into a stage performance for London's theatre district, the West End. Based loosely on the true story of Alfred Packer, the sole survivor of a trip from Utah to Colorado which left his five friends dead and eaten, Cannibal! The Musical has been performed on stage a number of times including off-broadway performances and even at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Produced by Frazer Brown, the musical is slated to debut in July 2010 at the Leicester Square Theatre. Brown confirmed that the production is planning to employ the show with British actors saying, “we are speaking to some fairly big names at the moment, we really want some crossover comedy actors, people who have experience on the stage and a personality to bring to the production.”

Brown also talked of the film's, and hopefully the theatre production's, cult status saying, “we think it will become a guilty secret for people during its run in London, rather than a multi-million-pound production, we hope to be able to take it to some of the smaller broadway theatres too.”
