Spandau Ballet to reunite for a "new take" on 80s pop
Everything old is new again: even Spandau Ballet are reuniting for a "new take" on their now two decade-old and long defunct pop group.
Need a refresher on their genius? How about the PM Dawn-sampled "ha-ha-ha-ha-ha" classic "True".
Lead singer Tony Hadley has promised a "new take" on the Spandau Ballet idea.
The five-piece scored a string of top ten hits during the 80s including "Gold" and "True", but suffered an acrimonious split that ended in the High Court.
Following the questionable lead of other newly reunited bands, including Take That, The Police, and Blur, Spandau Ballet's original members, which include British television actors (and brothers) Martin and Gary Kemp, will reform and they're apparently very excited about it.
Hadley told The Sunday People: "The boys are back in town and we can’t wait. It’s going to be brilliant, we’re very excited. But it will be very different to how we used to be..

This cracks me up! Of all the bands in the world that I would like to see reforming, this isn't one of them! Yeah, I can probably do without more of the Ballet!

Well, if this is true and if that is now considered classics then I now like either ultra classic or ultra modern music.
