Speedy Singh is about Rajveer Singh (Vinay Virmani) who is facing racism in Canada owning to his brown skin. Though he can play better Ice Hockey than most professional players, he is not included in the team that competes for the local championship. His father a traditional Sikh is against him playing Hockey and wants him to join the family business. But Rajveer puts his dreams first and forms his own Punjabi Hockey team called ‘The Speedy Singhs’ that becomes the first ever Punjabi team to win the cup.

The film will strike the right chord with specially the Punjabis. Rajveer cuts his hair when he was young and refuses to don the traditional turban in order to avoid racism but later realizes that it was the biggest mistake of his life. He supports his younger brother so that he doesn’t have a weak moment and decides to boycott the turban. It has its own moment of fun, laughter and emotions and just in the right amount. Another plus point is that it is not dragged and leaves a smile on your faces by the time it ends. Speedy Singhs is definitely worth a watch.
