Springsteen regrets record release deal with Wal-Mart
Working class rocker, Bruce Springsteen, has said that he should have taken a pass when it came to releasing his latest album exclusively through Wal-Mart stores.
Rock star Bruce Springsteen has said it was a "mistake" to exclusively release an album with US retail giant Wal-Mart.
The musician told the New York Times: "Our batting average is usually very good, but we missed that one."
Some fans complained about the deal, saying claims made against Wal-Mart's labour practices conflicted with Springsteen's principles on the issue.
He is due to perform during the interval at Sunday's Super Bowl in Tampa, Florida.
'Done different'
"We were in the middle of doing a lot of things, it kind of came down and, really, we didn't vet it the way we usually do," said the musician.
"It was something that if we'd thought about it a little longer, we'd have done something different.
"Fans will call you on that stuff, as it should be," added Springsteen.

You know what they say Money Talks and BS walks, how could Springsteen not know about Walmart, either he was living under a rock this whole time, or perhaps he is not the working mans man he claims to be, judging by this story perhaps he is a great pretender!

He never heard of Michael Moore ?? Looks like he doesn't bother with
the small stuff anymore. All he has to do is show up and play nowadays,
the money's in the bank.

I cannot imagine how busy you can claim to be in order for an exclusive distribution deal to not be the #1 item on your agenda.

there's a good chance that sony and bruce's manager (jon landau) made the deal without bruce's close involvement, especially with the work being done on his new release.
i'll give the boss a "pass" on this one, and watch for future deals. after all, it was a "best of", not a new release exclusive like many other artists have already done
