Star Trek Beams Early Into Theaters

ComingSoon.net is reporting that Star Trek will open May 7 at 7pm.

This isn't the first time a studio has decided to release a movie a few hours before midnight. In recent years, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and Iron Man had 8pm premieres. And Superman Returns opened at 10pm.

The movie, which is a prequel to both the movie series and 1960s television program, is directed by J.J. Abrams and stars Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, and Simon Pegg.

I wish it would come to Japan as well before the end of the Year.

The movie industry is in tough times as far as theatre showings, even a franchise like this one may not do well.... and I saw the trailer but I'm afraid the new Terminator is going to steamroll over it.... maybe it's just me but that looks like the most powerful piece the genre has produced in years.
