US - February 28th, - Starbucks shut it's doors yesterday to retrain it's employees for a couple of hours across the United states in an attempt to improve the quality of service. The goal was to attain a new level in barista expertise and to bolster new faith in the future of the company.

Today I entered a local starbucks on 14th street in manhattan to sample the new quality of service. I must first say that I do not regularly patronize starbucks but have gone there in the past. I entered at a busy time of day (after 5pm) and encountered a long line. The employees were attentive and happy eagerly awaiting to help customers. The cashier at front was alert and acurately delivered my order. (chocolate mocha) The mocha was ready quickly and promptly and tasted just fine in my estimation.

Overall I would have to say I have no problems with the coffee at starbucks and no complaints about the level of service. Perhaps a little training can go a long way.
