Stephanie Pratt dishes about her bulimia and suicide attempt
In this week's issue of US Weekly, reality star Stephanie Pratt dishes about her battle with bulimia and even her suicide attempt because of the pressures of fame and to be thin.
Stephanie is on the reality show The Hills with other celebs like Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag and Stephanie's brother Spencer Pratt.
Stephanie says that she was so emotionally oppressed on the show, working with other skinny girls that were a size 0 to 2, that she turned to bulimia, and even tried to kill herself.
She talks about filming a scene with Lauren Conrad in 2007 and thinking how huge she looked next to her, and that's when she began bingeing and purging.
The other stars have not said if they felt a pressure to be thin, but everyone is very connected on The Hills.
When Spencer and Heidi, the reality celebrities who everyone loves to hate and have nicknamed Speidi, married, Heidi's blended family seemed like a sharp contrast to Spencer's wealthy, traditionally structured, dad's a dentist, mom's a stay at home, Westside family.
Stephanie has had some trouble in the past with drug addiction and shoplifting, and she was arrested in 2006 in Hawaii for shoplifting at Neiman Marcus and she also admitted to taking prescription drugs with her girlfriend who was with her.

isn't it possible that stephanie wants attention?
i mean on the hills we watched her cause drama for attention (dating doug)
and now that the spot light isnt on her she suddenly has an eating disorder?
wouldn't the cast notice her throwing up after meals?
something just doesnt add up with this story especially since in 2007
she was as skinny as a post when she walked up to Lauren.

I think it does seem like a real cry for attention, as you said, she was already really skinny back in 2007, but if it is true, she'd do better seeking help rather than dishing to a tabloid about it.

I don't know whether or not this is true. But I do know Eating Disorders. People can be bulimic and no one may even know for years... It's easy to avoid eating situations, or if you have to eat get 'sick' right after. Also people with Bulimia are usually normal or over weight. And even if she was thin she might have thought she wasn't. Also where she has an addictive personality it is very probable that she could have adopted bulimic tendencies.
