Stephen Colbert shaves head for US troops

Stephen Colbert got a shaved head during his time in Iraq courtesy of General Ray Odierno.  General Ray Odierno was instructed by President Obama to give Stephen Colbert a military style buzz cut so the political pundit could fit in with the troops.  Colbert happily obliged and ended up nearly bald with a shaved head.

Stephen Colbert was stationed at Camp Victory in Iraq filming four episodes of The Colbert Report set up in Sadam Hussein's former Al Faw Palace.  It seems President Obama wanted to give Colbert the full military treatment.

Colbert was decked out in a camouflage suit and matching tie when his guest, General Ray Ordierno, gave him a shaved head, G.I. style, following direct orders from President Obama via video clip. After being shorn, Colbert soon after announced that it was time to "officially declare we won the Iraq war."

the loudest roars came when his first guest, Gen. Ray Odierno, accepted a videotaped order from President Barack Obama to shave Colbert's head.

The towering, bald general started the job with an electric razor, although a stylist finished it off.

The event was presented in part by the United Service Organization.
