Emotional tributes to Stephen Gately

Stephen Gately's funeral was held at the St. Laurence O'Toole Memorial Church in Dublin on Saturday October 17th with three and a half thousand turning out on the sides of the road and outside the church to say their final farewells. 600 mourners were inside and Ronan Keating, a Boyzone bandmate, described Gately as a 'brother, friend, son and a hero'.

Choking back tears during a eulogy for his friend at the end of the funeral mass, Keating said Boyzone would "pray for his guidance to now show us the way. It is with a heavy heart that I have to say that the world has lost one of its brightest stars."

Jan Moir wrote of Stephen Gately in her Daily Mail article that his death was not a natural one, and implied that he had done drugs and intended to engage in a threesome the night that he died.

The ex-prime minister Seville Place had this to say about the article:

"You could see it last Sunday and Monday when I was in London and some of the papers were waiting to write some sensational piece about him. The guy [Gately] was a good guy who died of natural causes and this is his funeral so I can never understand why people just don't leave things simple," Ahern said.

Stephen Gately's coffin was carried out of the church and his Boyzone bandmates followed while the onlookers threw white roses on his coffin. As the hearse made its way up Seville Place a passing train halted and people clapped and cheered for Gately.

X-Factor judge Louis Walsh also attended the funeral along with David Furnish, Shane Ward, Jason Donovan and thousands of the bands fans.

Five photographs of Stephen Gately at various stages of his short life were left behind in the church after the service was over. His body was cremated at Dublin's Glasnevin cemetery.

I hope you touched to the heaven and met God. He will protect you in perfect peace from devils. You will be becoming the beautiful angel in the sky. "I believe in love, it's the best of everything I believe in hope and the changes it can bring If you believe then nothing can stand in your way Just say, (oh) I believe."This lyrics always sings forever in us. We listen and memorize your happy living [T.T]. I believe you're always looking down and smiling with your family, your partner, your friends and all fans. R.I.P STEO. The little angel.

Jan Moir, was she a fly on the bedroom wall.Or just a malicious big gob with no compassion for the family and friends greiving.Even if they did have a threesome,so what they were all consenting adults.
