Stephen Gately's last interview before his death on October 9th in Majorca was with Reveal Magazine, and it tells of his future hopes of becoming a father and how happy he was to be reconciled with his mother.

The Boyzone star said he wanted to adopt children with his partner Andrew Cowles.

"The one big thing I see in my life is children. I'd love to be a dad. Andrew and I are always talking about how amazing it would be.

"It is something that we need to look into properly but I don't think I'd ever feel fully fulfilled in my life if I didn't experience the joy of being a father,"

A post mortem on Stephen Gately's body revealed he died of pulmonary oedema while on holiday after a night out.

He spoke in his last interview however of how he was so happy he had reconciled with his mother Margaret after being involved in a silly fight.

"The fall-out started over the silliest thing - it was just some crazy argument we had once. It was really starting to get me down and I felt ashamed that I wasn't getting on with my own mother.

"My brother rang me up and told me to pull myself together and make it up to Mum. So I got on the plane to Dublin, turned up at her house and said, 'I'm sorry'. It was very emotional."

Boyzone was working on an album before Gately's death and his passing has left his fans and his bandmates and family devastated.
