Record Producer Suge Knight Has Been Arrested for Assault With a Deadly Weapon

Suge Knight, the co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records, whose real name is Marion Hugh Knight was arrested just after midnight on Thursday morning for assault with a deadly weapon.

Knight was driving in his white Cadillac Escalade in Gardena California when he was pulled over and surrounded by police. He was placed in handcuffs and taken to the LAPD Southwest Division according to KTLA News. He was booked in for assault with a deadly weapon (gun) and for driving with a suspended license.

It in not known who Suge Knight is accused of attacking and the police would not divulge any details, saying only that the incident occurred in a public place and the victim was a man. He is still in custody on a $65,000 bail.

This is not the first time he has been involved with the law. In 1996 he violated his parole and was sent to prison.

In 1997, he was sentenced to 9 years for the violation. He was released in 2001. In 2003, however, he was sent to jail again for violating parole when he struck a parking lot attendant.

In 2003 he was back in jail for violating parole. Recently he was accused of being involved with the robbery of jewelry from Yukmoth (Jerold Ellis) but the story was later recanted.
