Summit Gives "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" The Green Light
A press release today states that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" has been given the green light to begin initial production by Summit Entertainment. There is still speculation as to whether "Breaking Dawn" will be released as one film or in multiple parts as the plotline is vast and detailed.
The fourth saga in the Twilight Series is going back to its roots and will be filmed in Portland, Oregon. The original Twilight film was shot there. In addition, a new production company, Sunswept Entertainment, has been brought on board for Breaking Dawn. Sunswept Entertainment was created by Karen Rosenfelt, who is the daughter of former MGM Chairman & CEO Frank Edward Rosenfelt. Karen Rosenfelt served as Producer on both "Twilight" and on "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse". She did not work on "New Moon", but is producing "Breaking Dawn" through her Sunswept Entertainment banner.
Karen Rosenfelt produced both "Twilight" and "Eclipse" and will be back for "Breaking Dawn" which is currently set to begin filming in September 2010 with a 2011 release date.
While the first Twilight film was shot in Oregon, "New Moon" and "Eclipse" (the second and third installments) have been filmed in Vancouver, BC. There is still speculation as to the various reasons for the move back to Oregon for production.
Tax incentives along with the endless attention from LA paparazzi and media are just some of the speculated reasons as to why production of the teen vampire franchise is set to leave Vancouver.

Fade in/Fade out, go to black, lots of screams, tearing noises in the dark, bloody sheets fade in/fade out over and over again. We will be disappointed. We won't see anything that wasn't shown in the book...so technically after they get married Stephenie didn't tell us how they did anything...it was all aftermath. The movie will be the same. We will know what happened but we won't see anything. SUCKS but it's true.
