SuperHeavy: Mick Jagger's Supergroup to Release Album in Sept
Superheavy: Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, David A. Stewart, Damian Marley, AR Rahman
Keith Richards and Charlie Watts aren't the only Rolling Stones to have bands on the side. After some arguably ill-advised solo efforts, Mick Jagger is getting in on the act. True to his rivalry with Keef, Mick Jagger doesn't just want a band... he wants a supergroup.
Mick Jagger is fronting SuperHeavy, which also includes David A. Stewart (Eurythmics), Joss Stone, Damian Marley, and AR Rahman. SuperHeavy's first single, "Miracle Worker", already has a video (watch for it within the week), and the band's debut album will drop in September 2011.
There are no touring plans as of yet, especially since nobody knows how the new material will be received. Sir Mick is the oldest member of the band at 68; Joss Stone is the youngest at 22.
Keith Richards' other band is the X-Pensive Winos. Charlie Watts plays with various jazz and blues outfits across London.
