Supermodel Karen Mulder Arrested For Threatening Plastic Surgeon

Dutch-born supermodel Karen Mulder has been arrested for allegedly threatening to attack her plastic surgeon.

The 39-year-old Mulder was being held by French authorities for making 'vicious telephone calls' directed at a female surgeon.

A detective said: ‘She was screaming and shouting about the operation and became extremely threatening.

‘There were repeated calls to the female surgeon who was extremely scared. The suspect is being interviewed.’

Mulder, along Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, and Kate Moss, is considered one of the original supermodels who rose to prominence in 1990s.

Mulder has had her fair share of personal problems. In 2001 she was treated at a psychiatric hospital for chronic depression. The following year she overdosed on sleeping pills in what appeared to be a suicide attempt. Mulder was rescued by friends in Paris, including France's First Lady Carla Bruni.
