Britain's Got Talent superstar Susan Boyle is to own her first home.

Earlier it was anounced that Susan Boyle is to be presented with a £4million royalty check by American Idol pop Svengali Simon Cowell. Some might imagine that she'd blow at least some some of it on a luxory mansion but no singing sensation SuBo has her eyes on a modest £300K home just a mile from where she currently lives in public housing in Blackburn, West Lothian.

Susan was thrust into worldwide fame after her appearances on the TV show Britain's Got Talent and despite her new found superstardom has continued to live in the same four-bed council house that she has all her life. She very much feels at home in the community of Blackburn and the house that she is reported to be buying has views over the River Almond, a place she has loved all her life, and is just a stones throw from the local police station should any fans get a little out of hand.

Simon Cowell has had a private security company guarding Susan Boyle's house 24/7 ever since Susan returned from recording the Haiti charity single to find an intruder running around her bedroom.

Susan's performance on Britain's Got Talent of I Dreamed A Dream has been watched by over 100million viewers on YouTube. Her first album also entitled I Dreamed A Dream was the best selling album of 2009.

The 1,700sq ft home boasts five bed rooms, three bathrooms, a double garage and solar panels.

The new-build property looks over the River Almond. There are just a couple of neighbours and there is a police station nearby.

But it is only around one mile from her current home, which has become a shrine to fans who regularly besiege her street.
