The story broke in March about how Swami Nithyananda was apparently involved in a sex video with two actresses, one of whom was Ranjitha.
When footage of the alleged tape aired on local news channel SUN TV an angry mob trashed Swami Nithyananda's ashram complex in Bidadi and the guru went missing. He was found and now wants people to know that Ranjitha has remained a devotee of the Ashram but he was still bothered by the pain she has been caused.
He said:
They could have targeted him easily to vent their ire. Instead they have made life difficult for a sincere devotee
Swami Nithyananda is also facing further problems after allegations emerged that he had sex with a male disciple Nitya Nirmalananda.
The CID has now moved the case to the Supreme Court but it is thought there is no solid case against Swami Nithyananda who has already served a jail term for rape, and having 'unnatural sex' among other charges.
CID investigators have no solid evidence against him, except a police complaint filed by Lenin Kurpuppan, an estranged disciple.
The prosecution also wants to prove that Swami Nithyananda raped Ranjitha, although she has repeatedly stated this is not true.
"We are in trouble," confided a senior CID officer. "If the SC fails to come to our help, we are going to be embarrassed."

The truth is slowly coming out since everyone jumped the bandwagon without enquiring into the facts of the matter. I am glad to see a more balanced writeup on this issue here. A lot of rumours were floated in and by the media to rake in viewership as can be seen from the above mentioned website. Keep up the objectivity on reporting the issue!

Looks like there is a systematic smear campaign on the news on Nityananda. All these shishya ratna’s are writing positive comments, when ever there is a an article published on nityananda saga.You idiot shishay’s (well wisher), Do you guys seriously think educated and sensible people will still follow him other than people like you? Go and do this publicity that nityananda is a good guy with the brainless and uneducated.

Yes, I do think his sensible educated followers will grow ten fold and it has already started. Why don't you come and check it out for yourself instead of taking the biased media at face value. Time will tell who is brainless and what education really means!!

It is clear that Nithi's mental-slaves are defending him everywhere.To the supporters: I have not seen single statement to date from Nithi saying he is NOT the person in the video.As long as there are mentally weak people relying on a guru, we'll always have people like Nithi - he does have a market for these people.If you are truly spiritual, enquire into Bhagavad Gita yourself, with the help of folks like Velkuddi - he doesn't massage the 'message' to satisfy 'intellectuals'.
