Princess Madeleine Dumps Jonas Bergstrom over Affair

Sweden's Princess Madeleine did not want to walk in Elin Nordegren's shoes. When Princess Madeleine (and the rest of Sweden) foiund out that her fiancée, lawyer Jonas Bergstrom, cheated on her while on a ski holiday, she dumped him.

Princess Madeleine's next move: head to New York City. While supposedly working with World Childhood Foundation, Princess Madeleine, third in line to the throne, has not been seen at their Manhattan headquarters.

Princess Madeleine Running Loose in New York City

A quick note to Jonas Bergstrom: the 27-year old multi-lingual grad student Swedish princess that you cheated on is now loose in New York City. Oh, and she's friends with New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist.

The Swedish media have agreed to a request from the royal family to give the princess some "peace and quiet" after the sudden and scandalous separation.

Her split was announced in a dry statement over the weekend that ignored Bergstrom's reported dalliance with a 21-year-old ski bunny at a Swedish resort.

Jonas Bergstrom hooked up with a girl 11 years his junior without mentioning that he was engaged to the Princess of Sweden. Unsurprisingly, the dalliance didn't stay secret for very long, and thus the royal wedding was scrapped.

Tora Uppstrom Berg, an athletic blond college student, told a Norwegian magazine that Bergstrom followed her home last year in a taxi and bedded her without ever mentioning his royal girlfriend.
