SXSW 2009 Interactive: Web Nerds Are Cooler Than You

The thing about web nerds is that they love having the opportunity to prove to the world that they are infinitely 'cooler' than you might think. But, no, it's not enough for them to lounge around the hallways of the Austin Convention Centre at SXSW with their  MacBook Pros in their laps. No. The real internet heavyweights must make continual efforts to ensure their elite Twitterati status is updated with the only the finest in de rigeur Twitpics.

To wit (or is that to twit?) here are some ever-so-illustrative examples of South by Southwest social media mavens at their most bloggiest...

Crrrazy party googles? Check. Branded temporary tattoos? Sure. Zombie face paint? Hey why not. Party action shots throwin' up pseudo-gang signs and sportin' real tattoos? Um, whatevs. Pretending to punch a girl? Yeah...um...nnnno. Internet superhero clad in a head-to-toe lycra suit, mask, and cape with a girl resting her head on your shoulder? Certainly. Ridin' with your homies on a bunch of Segways like Gob in Arrested Development? Now, you're talking. That's the essence of internet cool, daddy-o!
