The largest gathering of warships in Sydney Harbour since 1988, this coincides with Sydney Harbour Week. This festival includes all sorts of free events and tours. Check out the official site for more details.

The Australian fleet was working with a New Zealand warship, transport vessel HMNZ Canterbury, which also entered the Harbour this morning.

With ships from the exercise already berthed in Sydney Harbour, there were 21 ships in total, the largest concentration of warships since the bicentenary in 1988.

The visit coincides with Sydney Harbour Week, a celebration of the Harbour and its role in Sydney's life, and will culminate in a march of 4600 naval personnel through the city tomorrow.
