Tak radio lies told about global warming

I was listening to a rightwinger on talk radio who stated that to believe in man made global warming (as do the vast majority of scientists on this question by the way), you must believe that most CO2s or global warming gases are caused by human beings. I thought, this guy has a national talk show when I have a little blog type column on Examiner?! 

This wasn't the first and I am sure it won't be the last that I am amazed at this man's "logic."  Most C02 released is of course natural. Most warming by CO2s is natural. If there was no natural global warming effect then the world would be much colder place. Actually the earth would be 59F degrees colder. Man's effects is a relative puny 2-3F degrees so far, and over the next century could  be 3-10 degrees which would be a dramatic rate of increase over natural rates of warming.

 But it is the effects of those increases effects when it comes to  coastlines, droughts, flooding, coral reef damage could costs many, many trillions of dollars in damages. So, the idea that to believe man made global warming is a problem you must believe that most global warming emissions is by man is absurd. It also shows that in conservative talk radio illogical and poorly reasoned positions and arguments are quite common because except for  the occasional progressive caller, (such as I) they go unchallenged and accepted.  

So if you are a progressive reading this, I urge you to call conservative talk radio and be ready to challenge the hosts when they (as they often do) say something that just doesn't make any darn sense. Try to stay calm and try not to lose your cool. Remember you are trying to appeal to the moderates on issues and frame your argument in that direction.
