Take my mother-in-law, please, and this isn't a joke, lawsuits?

"Take my mother-in-law — please," isn't a joke you're likely to hear often these days from Sunda Croonquist. The veteran comic is being sued by her mother-in-law after making her the punchline of too many jokes.

The mother-in-law is accusing Croonquist of spreading false, defamatory and racist lies with in-law jokes that have become a staple of her routine in nightclubs and on television channels like Comedy Central.

To Croonquist, the in-law jokes seemed like a natural routine after living through one comical culture-clash moment after another: She is half-black, half-Swedish, grew up Roman Catholic and married into a Jewish family.

How about your mother in law suing you because you are a comedienne - and the firm that is representing you is your husbands?

No, that ain't no joke either!

Is this all about making money or a real lawsuit, if it is real then the world has finally gone stark raving bonkers!

But things changed after Croonquist, promoting upcoming gigs in New Jersey

Ah - and you see, this is why they call me the cynic, I could be cynical and say that this could be the real reason - get all that free publicity because you need the numbers at your gigs - but, on the other hand - I could be 100% wrong.

Whichever way you look at this - it is madness personified is it not?
