Tamara Taggart to Co-Host With Regis Philbin August 21st

Vancouver's own Tamara Taggart is in New York today in preparation to co-host 'Live with Regis and Kelly' in Kelly Ripa's place on August 21st with Regis Philbin.

The local CTV weatherwoman was picked out of hundreds of entries in June to co-host one show, and she is both excited and very nervous to do so.

"I go back and forth, from being super excited to kind of nervous. I actually talked to him via satellite...interviewed him, and it became very real to me once I had that conversation with him. It was like, 'wow, this is really happening'."

Tamara Taggart has been with CTV as their nightly weatherwoman since 2001.

I would not usually write in to anything like this, but after watching the show yesterday & finding out our very own Tamara was going to be on today...well now! I am watching it now from work. I am so proud of her! She is doing great. I watched another News caster on Thursday & well I was not impressed at all. She is holding her own. Does not look nervous. Sitting up straight. Looks so confident. A natural with Regis. So proud to have our Canadian girl up there! So funny & keeping us watching....I usually get pretty bored. She makes it so fun & look so easy.
