On the night of July 7th, once a year, the separated two lovers, Hiko-boshi (the star Altair said as a cowherd) and Ori-hime (the star Vega said as a weaver) can meet in the middle of the Milky Way... Japanese celebrate this romantic meeting with putting up little paper written ones' dreams & wishes and handmade paper decorations on bamboos.

I love this festival. :)
