Tanya Tucker, country music legend, has released her new album My Turn. The album marks nearly forty years of Tucker's career in the music business, during which she has produced several hit singles and earned a Grammy nomination.

Tucker's biography has been called "refreshingly old-fashioned", beginning in Texas, where she was born October 10, 1958, and Arizona, where she was raised. At age 13, Tucker's first hit "Delta Dawn" hit the charts as part of the country music top 10.

Tucker has lived in various cities throughout her career, including Las Vegas, Nashville, and Los Angeles. After dating and breaking up with singer Glen Campbell, she became immersed in alcohol and cocaine, entered rehab at the Betty Ford Clinic, and has continued making music until now.

The [new] album features songs by many of country music's most influential artists, including Merle Haggard and Charlie Pride. Pride's song "Anybody Goin' To San Antone" has always been one of her favorites. "I wanted to pay tribute to some of the greats, and that's what this album's all about."

Tanya Tucker songs have always tended towards older themes--"Delta Dawn" is about an older woman remembering a long-lost lover--"because that's what I grew up singing".

I'm of her generation...I can relate.  Plus, I just saw her ex, Glenn Campbell performing on TV.  Too bad they couldn't stay together!
