Acadeny Award Winning Actress Taum O'Neal was arrested in New York for Crack Cocaine and Powder Cocaine Charges. She was arrested along with a 33 year old man, Alan Garcia,, possibly drug dealer.

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Police arrested Academy Award-winning actress Tatum O'Neil on from her luxury high-rise apartment on drug charges.

O'Neil was arrested around 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Clinton Street. Police said they found bags of cocaine and crack in her possession.

Arrested with her was 33-year-old Alan Garcia, who is believed to be the possible dealer.
Published reports said the 44-year-old actress initially told police she was doing research for an upcoming role, and that she pleaded to be let off the hook when the drugs were discovered.
O'Neil was in central booking in lower Manhattan early Monday, and was expected to be arraigned later. O'Neil was the youngest actress to win an Oscar, receiving the honor at the age of 10.
