It's official: Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez have broken up; their young, brief, New Moon romance in Vancouver is over.
The two were together while Taylor was filming the popular New Moon film in Vancouver, and Selena was in town working on another project.
However, multiple sources have confirmed that the two have split, and that Taylor Lautner was supposed to call Selena before he left Vancouver last friday, where he was filming Twilight sequel, New Moon, but he never called her, and just stood her up.
Sources say they haven't communicated since.
Am told Taylor was supposedly strongly encouraged by his father and Summit not to be seen with a girlfriend, especially as his star is on the rise. They want him to focus on career, on the work, and on letting every little girl make believe she could be The One. He wasn’t happy about it, but he listened. These are the sacrifices you make for fame, right?
Selena will have to make hers too. Eventually.
Taylor is currently in post-production for New Moon, but both will be at the MTV Movie Awards on Sunday.

I mean come on people look at what your doing cheering over peoples make ups and break ups. Get a life and MYOB. I understand some of you are fans of twilight and wizirds of waverly place but you need to let them breathe. Get over yourselves come on do you really think your going to meet or fall in love with Taylor or Selena. Don't you realize you people are acting like what taylors dad verified. You will always be dreaming to be The One but the truth is you never will be. Wake up and face reality you need to change your attitude because guys like Taylor don't want to be with an obsessive fan let's get real. Just painting the picture for all the groupies. Either Hate or Love my opinion It's the truth.
I think Taylor's Cute but he's not drop dead gorgeous. I mean we could be cool friends but I don't go around like a groupie saying he's my man and $h*t. Get a life people Seriously.

why is the media so interested in these stories anyway?? privacy has become really a meaningless word for people. WHO CARES WHATEVER HAPPENED WITH THEM?? it's nobody's buisness except Taylor and Selena!!! Ppl make a fuss out of nothing these days.
And Boo-Hoo for all those fans who say they were heartbroken when they heard they got together and relived qhen they heard they weren't anymore. You need to get a life and stop living in this fantasy which makes you believe that you are ever going to so much as MEET Taylor (or Selena - if you're a guy)

first of all, taylor is not anyones guy, unless there reall dating and if you were dating him, you woldnt have to listen to dumb rumors. so leave taylor and selena alone and focus on your own life, not theres.

Okay im pissed. Sure every girl is in love with taylor but i mean he needs his friggen space. When he and selena decide to break up on their own...then they will. But for now they should just let them be. What's the point in having a single hottie whose heart and mind is into another girl(selena)...can't you ppl see that he still has feelings for her and that its just not fair to him or even her...i noe i shouldnt blame teh fans but i mean his publicist and dad..i mean come on ppl.

It's ridiculous. He shouldn't have been torn apart from something he liked.Then again, he never had to listen. It's his life. It takes two to complete a decision.One to hash an idea out, the 2nd to refuse or accept it. I'd expect the media and studio to pressure him, but his family? seriously? It's ludicrous.His family need to be concerned with his happiness and well being, not his income.
I feel sorry for the both of them.
Taylor for being pressured by his own clan,
and Selena for being lead on (in a sense) to a great new beginning with a new guy.
She had her hopes up after her split form Nick, now that's gone to sh*t. 2 break-ups in 1 year is tough on her. I just hope she can deal well.I assume she does.
