Taylor Swift Says Kanye West Hasnt Personally Apologized About VMA

Taylor Swift appeared on ABC daytime talk show "The View" this morning, Sept. 15 2009. Taylor said she had yet to hear an apology from Kanye West directly.

Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift when she was accepting the Best Female Video award on Sunday. He apologized for his behavior on his blog and on an interview with Jay Leno on Monday night.

On "The View", Taylor Swift agreed to meet him if he makes contact, but she had yet to hear from him. She was asked if she would agree to see Kanye again:

"Sure, I mean, he has not personally reached out or anything but, if he wanted to say hi."

"I think my overall thought process was 'Wow, I can't believe I won, this is awesome ... don't trip and fall, Oh, Kanye West is here ... cool haircut, what are you doing here?'" Swift said. "And then, 'Ouch', and then 'I guess I'm not going to get to thank fans.'"

"I'm not gonna say that I wasn't riled by it. I had to perform live five minutes later so I had to get myself back to the place where I could perform."

After Swift's comment, Kanye West called her and formally apologized. In a statement released from "The View":

"After the show he spoke personally to the country music superstar via telephone and has apologized to the 19-year-old singer. She has accepted Mr. West's apology. The contents of the phone call are to remain private."

Kanye shouldn't have been allowed to take the stage and take that moment from Taylor. Taylor definitely deserved an apology. There is even a funny game out there now that lets Taylor take the stage back: www.entropicorder.net/games/kanye-vs-taylor.php
