THAILAND, ON THE SPOT AFTER BOMBING, LOOKS TO TRUTH AS A SOLUTION
A second major English-language media outlet in Thailand, the {Bangkok Post}, refuses to go along with the trap set by an "Iranian" bombing in Bangkok last Tuesday by laying out the actual politics behind terrorist incidents.
In the first of two opinion pieces, Imtiaz Muqbil of Travel Impact Newswire poses the possibility of a "false flag" operation: "After last week's explosions it's important to take an objective look at the evidence as the story unfolds rather than putting blind faith into the anti-Iran spin from Washington and Tel Aviv.
Although the anti-Iran campaign is in full swing, major holes are emerging in the story spun so far ...
[T]he Indian and Thai governments' cautious handling of the matter is putting counter-pressure on the U.S. and Israeli governments to prove that they are not behind what may be `false-flag' operations...."
A second op-ed, by Voranai Vanijaka, a Post editor, said of the bombing: "In the context of the history of geopolitical and economic conflicts, it is but the most recent flare-up in the `great game' that the West and the East have played since before the Battle of Marathon in 490BC ...
"The Thai authorities have so far refrained from blaming anyone.
This is because this is not our fight and the last thing we would want to do is make extremists on either side angry -- we have enough problems of our own.
Be that as it may, security experts have warned us that we won't be able to escape the fight. The modern world is a globalised one. The current great game isn't just played in the confines of the Mediterranean world."
Earlier last week, the rival Thai English language newspaper, {The Nation}, gave voice to the Iranian Ambassador to present the Iranian side, while managing Editor Thanong Khanthong in a strong editorial laid out the looming World War III danger, which will not bypass Thailand.
The United States has put much effort into getting the nations of South East Asia to join the Asia-Pacific "pivot" against China. It is clear that this isn't turning out too well in the key country of Thailand.

Drmarty up to his usual, tired anti-US rhetoric as if it is something fresh and insightful. How could you have failed to notice that the writers were in fact notorious anti-west bores(much like yourself) and were not even Thai. Most Thais do not care about the US, Iran or China. They certainly dont care about 'false-flags' and hysterical whining from conspiracy theorists.

Open message to people who tend to read my commentary:
- Monday was president's day, where people in the US celebrate the contributions to civilization made by presidents Washington and Lincoln
- I posted a nice little story about how Washington was not fooled by the British and French oligarchs when they pulled out the stops to fool the man, hoping he'd cave in to personal attacks and bleed dry the young nation he helped to found
- then I posted several other nice stories about how that same American tradition was exhibited by military men today (those who raise the flag against stupid foreign military engagements in Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Iran), and those in other nations, in the Washingtonian spirit. It warms my heart
- I tend not to respond to people who don't identify themselves - so stupid, you know, even the morons in the CIA would pretend to be somebody and slap the ball back in my court
- Most events that pass us by can only be understood with at least 100 years of history to explain them; anything less is misguided, at best
- Consider this - you are a billionaire; you can hire the best minds in the world; do you wake up every morning hoping small people like me don't catch on to a game you might be playing (perhaps legal, but highly unethical)? Or, do you make sure your game is set well within a media cover story, a think tank's mission, or a candidate's platform? Non-conspiracy theorists believe billionaires worry about me; I don't.

and as predicted drmarty tries the old chestnut of 'you are not registered so we may safely discount what you say'. a mere moments reflection would show the utter drivel this is.what does it matter WHO I am? I highly doubt you have heard of me in any case, along with virtually everyone else i might add. I notice you dont seem to mind anonymous commentators agreeing with you.it also assumes that everyone is truthful when saying who they are on this site, we are all technically anonymous here, this is the i-net bitches!
