Thom Yorke of Radiohead is starting a new band with Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Thom Yorke is forming a band to showcase his solo material, and it's a bit of a supergroup: Flea on bass, Joey Waronker (R.E.M.) on drums, and Mauro Refosco on several instruments, all produced by Radiohead's producer Nigel Godrich.
Two shows have been scheduled for the as-yet-unnamed band: October 4 and 5 at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. Thom writes, "the set will not be very long cuz ..well ...we haven't got that much material yet!"
I guess the solo material is entitled Eraser, probably having nothing to do with the Arnold Schwarzenegger movie of the same name.
in the past couple of weeks i've been getting a band together for fun to play the eraser stuff live and the new songs etc.. to see if it could work!
