Thor: Generally Positive Reviews for Latest Marvel Movie

Thor opens on May 6, and reviews are starting to emerge. The Thor reviews are generally positive, so it look.

Harry Knowles at AICN has already seen Thor twice, describing himself as " a drunk monkey in love with THOR".

Entertainment Weekly  praises Thor's balance of action, mythmaking and fun. After all, Kenneth Branagh is no stranger to epic filmmaking- he did the full four-hour version of Hamlet and got people to not only sit through it but love it. Empire (which also praised the film) got the Shakespearean connection as well.

The Hollywood Reporter declares the role of Thor as a breakout performance for Australian Chris Hemsworth.

Time Out New York isn't feeling the Asgardian love, though, calling Thor a placeholder for the eventual Avengers flick, but not much more. While none of the early reviewers outright disliked the film, TONY seems to have come close.

Check out the trailer below and decide for yourself it Thor is worth seeing on the big screen.
