Throw the Dog - Gone Book At Him, Trial Date For Vick Co-Defendant Taylor

SUSSEX, Va. -- One of Michael Vick's dogfighting co-defendants will soon learn the date of his state trial.

Tony Taylor has already served a two-month federal prison term for his role in the former NFL star's dogfighting enterprise. Now he faces state charges in Surry County Circuit Court. The trial date is scheduled to be set Tuesday.

Taylor is charged with beating or killing or causing dogs to fight other dogs, and engaging in or promoting dogfighting. Both charges are felonies punishable by up to five years in prison.

Vick and two other co-defendants face the same charges. They won't be tried until they finish serving their federal prison terms.
