The New Unauthorized Oprah Biography by Kitty Kelley Claims Tim Watts is the Man Oprah Had a Relationship With

According to Kitty Kelley's new book about Oprah Winfrey, a married man named Tim Watts is the one that Oprah had a relationship with in the 1970s and early 80s. Oprah has apparently alluded to this man in the past, calling him a jerk, but she has never named him, however Kitty Kelley is claiming that man is Tim Watts.

Ms. Kelley is also saying in her new book that Oprah paid Tim Watts $50,000 to keep him quiet about their relationship, although it is not sure why. In Kelley's book she also says that Oprah had a relationship with a singer named John Tesh and that they lived together in Tennessee.

“Those years were the worst of my life,” the book Oprah: A Biography quotes Oprah as saying about the affair.

Oprah and Tim Watts allegedly dated for five years, and the book claims that in 1989 Watts contacted Oprah to tell her that he had been asked to tell their story. Apparently Oprah's best friend Gayle King delivered $50,000 to Watts for him to keep quiet. This is all according to the book.

Who is Tim Watts?

Not too much is known about Tim Watts; he is a Baltimore disc jockey and at the same time he was seeing Oprah, RadarOnline is saying that Watts was also sleeping with a woman called Judy Colteryahn and that Oprah was shocked her married 'boyfriend' was also sleeping with another woman.

Oprah did not mind being seen in public with a married man, but when she found out that he was also having an affair with a pretty young blonde, she said she felt 'devastated' about being 'two-timed,'” the books says.

The book also claims that Oprah was 'obsessed' with Watts and that she ran after him in her nightgown one night and threw himself at his car in order to try and make him stop driving away. On another occasion she also apparently blocked the door of her apartment and yelled 'don't go' and threw his keys in the toilet.

The book says that this was the story Oprah “later told Mike Wallace on 60 Minutes, attributing it to her more benign relationship with Bubba Taylor.”

The book alleges that Oprah spoke of her relationship with Watts to the Daily Mail, but Watts was not named in the interview.

These instances are outlined in the book that came out on April 13; none of it has been verified by Oprah or her staff.
