Timbaland's Possible Suicide Attempt Over Watch? Cops Called
Timbaland Had to be Brought Home Yesterday After His Family Feared He Might Harm Himself Over a $2 Million Watch
Update: 11:19am PT - Timbaland called Ryan Seacrest's radio show to clear up any confusion regarding reports of a possible suicide attempt. He told Seacrest that he has no idea what people are talking about and that while the theft did happen, it was not a watch and he was not going to harm himself.
TMZ reports that at around 5pm PT on Tuesday the L.A. County Sheriff's Department put out a 'possible suicide attempt' for rapper and musician Timbaland after he took off from his family home when he was upset over the theft of a Jacob & Co. watch.
There was apparently a theft in his home in Malibu on Monday and earlier in the day Timbaland was talking to his brother-in-law on the phone and let him know how upset he was over the theft of this particular watch. He was also upset as it is believed it was taken by someone the musician trusted.
After this conversation he reportedly left his L.A. home in his car and when his family could not contact him they called the police because they feared the worse might happen.
The Sheriff's department even put out a helicopter watch for the rapper and they finally found his Escalade and ground patrol cars pulled him over. Reports say that the police brought Timbaland back in one of their patrol cars and then paramedics came to make sure the musician was alright. He was deemed to be not a threat to himself and they left.
We're told the Sheriff's Department is investigating the theft of Timbaland's jewelry and they have possible suspects.
Timbaland has not commented on the incident at this time.
