Justin Timberlake -I think that she knows
Where Salma Hayek did wonders for bringing the loveable Spanish-language comedy 'Ugly Betty' to American audiences, J.T. is now going to try and bring his star power (and love of Peruvian comedy?) to a show appropriately titled "My Problem With Women". Is this the new formula for  network tv adaptation success?
Pop star Justin Timberlake is helping to bring a hit Peruvian comedy to NBC.

"My Problem With Women" follows the adventures of Jose, a thirtysomething bachelor who begins seeing a therapist in an attempt to understand why all of his romantic relationships fail.

The project, which has received a script commitment from NBC, is based on the Peruvian show "Mi Problema con las Mujeres," which was launched in July, and has been sold to 20 countries.

Timberlake will serve as an executive producer. He joined the project after he was approached by Reveille, the production company behind the most successful U.S. adaptations of foreign scripted series on the air: NBC's "The Office" and ABC's "Ugly Betty."

lol, it's hard to see the logical connection between Justin Timberlake and Peruvian comedy

Adaptation from one language/region to another is a great way for the risk-averse to produce a television program: the producers already know that the idea is viable at a basic level... such practice has brought the US such hits as Big Brother, American Idol, The Office, So You Think You Can Dance, and some others that I can't think of at the moment.
