Tisha Taylor Murphy: Charlie Murphy Wife Dies of Cancer

Tisha Taylor Murphy, the wife of comedian Charlie Murphy, died Sunday after a two-year-long battle with cancer. Charlie Murphy's publicist released the following statement about the death of Tisha Taylor Murphy.

“Tisha Taylor Murphy, wife of comedian and actor Charlie Murphy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, with family at her side after facing the challenges of cancer for the past two years. The Murphy Family appreciates all the support they have received from friends and fans and requests privacy during this very difficult time.”

Charlie Murphy, a cast member of Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show and the brother of actor Eddie Murphy, had three children with Tisha Taylor Murphy. The couple had been married since 1997.
