Today (16th June 2011) is Bloomsday and many people are celebrating but next year the celebration will be much better as everyone will be free to publish or perform Joyce’s works without seeking permission from his estate.
January 1st, 2012, will mark the expiry of seventy years from the death of James Joyce, the term for copyright protection fixed by European Union (and Irish) law.
