The Hobbit You Didn't Hear About - PART 1

Now this brings the whole 'pipe weed' debate right back into dungeons and dragon games across North America.

The great-grandson of Lord of the Rings author JRR Tolkien has been ordered to pay 3,000 pounds for growing cannabis.

The 27-year-old Piers Crombleholme was said to be 'steeped in the drug culture'.

Crombleholme admitted that he was growing 39 cannabis plants at his shop selling knives and guns in Dudley, West Midlands, but said it was for his personal use.

Also as part of his punishment Crombleholme was given an 18-month community order and was told to attend rehab.

Judge Michael Challinor, who passed the judgement, told Crombleholme that he needed help to be brought away from drugs.

"You are steeped in the drug culture and need help to be brought away from it," The Sun quoted him, as saying.

"You were in receipt of a trust fund from your relative's literary career and have been given a golden opportunity to run your own business," he said.
