For some reason it seems to be time for another celebrity death hoax on the web because there is some 'Tom Cruise dead' terms floating around at the moment.
It is highly unlikely at this point that Tom Cruise is dead, but if we hear anything we'll let you know.

Film superstar and producer Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, known to all as Tom Cruise has died at age 47 of a heart attack, whilst on a flight to Hong Kong. Cruise, star of many blockbuster films ranging from Top Gun to the Mission Impossible series, is said to have been travelling to Hong Kong to visit fellow Scientologists in preparation for an international conference. Whilst no official pronouncement of death has been made as yet, a source at Hong Kong International Airport has revealed that the actor complained of chest pains, before collapsing into unconsciousness. Despite efforts of people on the plane, they were unable to resuscitate and Cruise was declared dead in mid-flight. Cruise had met with some controversy in the past few years, stemming from his unwavering devotion to Scientology, a religion known to be at odds with various medical professions, not least of which is the psychiatric sciences. His strange actions on the Oprah Winfrey show as well unsubstantiated rumours about his sexuality failed to sour public opinion against the ever-popular star. He leaves behind a wife, fellow actress Katy Holmes (30), and a child, Suri (3), as well as two adopted children from his previous marriage to actress Nicole Kidman, Isabella Jane and Connor Anthony.

Do you have a link for your information as we've received no such confirmation and so the reports are still unsubstantiated at this time.

If the rumors are a hoax then they are in very bad taste
hoaxes on celebrity affairs is one thing but a death of an internationally known person like Tom Cruise is a serious allegation; if someone can be arrested trying for to fake their own death then the offence should be just as serious for those who try to manufacture an untruth about someone else.
On that note I hope it is a hoax and that Tom Cruise has not died.
