TONBRIDGE

Life under the  re-elected Tories in Tonbridge & Malling continues to be a disaster.

Once again they show continuing glaring neglect.

'Profits over safety' is once again in action as lifebuoys aren't being replaced by the bridge despite many drownings or they are simply not being replaced fast enough. Are the Council making cutbacks, even with lifebuoys?

There aren't enough lifebuoys in the town at all, and where people have drowned recently by another bridge along the High Street, there isn't a single lifebuoy. The Council has not bothered to put one up even after a death. The lack of lifebuoys is really surprising considering there are so many pubs by the bridges which attract weekend revellers.

And it gets even worse as the Council offices are just five minutes away behind the Castle, how can they see this, and do nothing about it?

Now Public Beaulieu asks that there is an urgent enquiry and has contacted the Council.

Like in Maidstone too to some extent, but at least there are a few lifebuoys there, but not enough. Keep pestering them in Tonbridge until they do something about it. How much can each lifebuoy cost after all?

Yes, it is quite appalling and yet again  Maidstone is under a Tory Council.

No wonder so many people died in the Titantic as they didn't have enough life rafts. History keeps repeating itself here.
