Tone Loc Recovering After Collapse During Pensacola Concert

Rapper Tone Loc (Anthony Terrell Smith) collapsed during his concert at Capt'n Fun Beach Club, an open-air club in Pensacola, Florida. Just a few songs into the set, Tone Loc collapsed, losing consciousness. He was taken to hospital, the name of which was not disclosed.

Lee Tyree, one of the Escambia County Sheriff’s deputies working security at the show, said that Tone Loc had a history of seizures. Emergency medical personnel called to the scene would not confirm the statement.

Loc was then rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital, where he was treated and released.

Tone Loc's gravelly voice has been a pop-culture mainstay, and he is most famous for his hits Wild Thing and Funky Cold Medina.
