LAS VEGAS, NV -- Hollywood heartthrob Tony Curtis is now out of the hospital, his spokesperson reported in a post on his Facebook page.

"Tony is doing better and is now spending some time at a physical rehab hospital to get his strength back. He is back to his stubborn self, which is a good sign!" the July 28 post stated.  "We will probably be here a few weeks, but TC will be back to his normal life as soon as possible."

The 85-year-old veteran actor fell ill earlier this month with respiratory problems while attending an exhibition to unveil his latest artwork in Henderson, Nevada.

Curtis reportedly suffers from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and was admitted to an undisclosed hospital for tests.

The actor, who came close to death in 2006 after a bout with pneumonia, now depends on a wheelchair.

"TC is a miracle, the doctors all say he has nine lives," stated his spokesperson. "But, as he has always said, 'it would have killed an ordinary man.'"
