2010 is going to be a big year for movies. 2009 saw an impressive turn-out at the box office, that even with a recession, many still turned out their pockets for hits such as New Moon, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Avatar, District 9, Star Trek and G.I Joe.

Well 2010 is already shaping up to be a great year to spend some time at the movies.

Shutter Island: Released February 19, starting Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Ruffalo and directed by Martin Scorsese. Set in 1954, two U.S Marshalls are investigating the disappearance of a murderess who escaped from a mental hospital called Shutter Island.

Alice in Wonderland: Released March  5, staring Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter and Anne Hathaway, directed by Tim Burton. It's the classic story with a dark Tim Burton twist.

Clash of the Titans: Released March 26, staring Sam Worthington, Ralph Fiennes, Liam Neeson and Pete Postlethwaite, directed by Louis Leterrier, this is another remake of a classic. The story follows the mortal son of Zeus who tries to stop the underworld from spreading evil to the Earth.

Wall Street 2: Released April 23, staring Shia LaBeouf, Michael Douglas, Susan Sarandon and Michael Douglas, directed by Oliver Stone. This movie takes on the theme of the first Wall Street and sees a young Wall Street trader partnered with a disgraced former Wall Street raider.

Robin Hood: Released May 14, staring Russell Crowe, Cate Blanchett and Mark Strong, directed by Ridley Scott, this long anticipated version of Robin Hood tells the story of the man who robbed the rich to feed the poor, with a more violent dark twist.

Prince of Persia: Released May 28, staring Jake Gyllenhaal, Ben Kingsley, Gemma Arterton and Alfred Molina, directed by Mike Newell, this computer game based movie follows the Prince of Persia as he tries to stop an angry ruler from destroying the world that he knows.

Sex and the City 2: Released May 28, staring Sarah Jessica Parket, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon, directed by Michael Patrick King, this long anticipated sequel brings the four women together again for more fun, love and laughter.

Eclipse: Released June 30, staring Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner, directed by David Slade, this movie is going to be a huge release for Summit yet again in 2010. This is the third installment in the Stephanie Meyer books.

Knight and Day: Released July 2, staring Tom Cruise, Cameron Diaz and Maggie Grace, directed by James Mangold, this movie is the return of Tom Cruise to the action-adventure genre and him and Cameron Diaz play a fugitive couple.

Toy Story 3: Released June 18, staring Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Michael Keaton and Whoopi Goldberg, directed by Lee Unkrich, Toy Story 3 is the third installment in the popular Toy Story movies and this time it's going to be in 3-D.

The A Team: Released June 11, staring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Sharlto Copely and Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, directed by Joe Carnahan, this is another remake of a popular TV series and is one of the most anticipated of 2010.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I: Released November 19, starting Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Ralph Fiennes, directed by David Yates, this is the first installment of the final book with the second part coming in 2011.

Tron Legacy: Released December 17, starting Garrett Hedlund, Olivia Wilde and Michael Sheen, directed by Joseph Kosinski, this is another remake of an 80s classic and it all takes place in a virtual world where a worker looks to take down the Master Control Program.
