Top Chef with Padma Lakshmi is set to return for Season 6 in Las Vegas tonight, August 19 at 9pm PST/EST on Bravo. Padma Lakshmi, a former model and cookbook author, will return as the host of Top Chef Las Vegas.

On “Top Chef,” which ladles "Iron Chef" over "Project Runway," the food is part of a larger drama that leads to a big prize. (And this year, little prizes along the way.) There is sweat, there are tears, not all of them from chopping onions, and once in a great while there is blood.

Padma Lakshmi will host the 17 contestants of Top Chef Las Vegas who will compete for the title of Top Chef, as well as $100,000 in prize money, an editorial feature in Food & Wine Magazine, and an appearance at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, Colorado.

The contestants will be judged by Tom Colicchio, a celebrity chef, who returns as head judge of Top Chef. The other judges will include Gail Simmons of Food & Win Magazine and Toy Young, a food critic.
