Religulous trailer //
There was debate about whether this protest at the Religulous screening was legit. Despite Bill Maher disputing any involvement with this (had he been involved "it wouldn't have been as lame"), I'm positive this was staged. Come on, true protesters would exhibit a little more zip and plenty more irrationality, not to mention better signs.
The film itself? Very funny, and everything you'd expect from the Maher/Charles team. However, I think the subject is much too grand for a feature documentary. This deserves television series treatment, with focus on a different religion each week -- including many of the major ones they failed to cover in the hour and a half.
