Tracy Morgan Nashville Concert: 'I'll Kill My Son if He Acts Gay'

Tracy Morgan, well known for pushing the envelope in his comedy, overstepped a line at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. During Tracy Morgan's Nashville show, he went off on a homophobic rant during a routine on the bullying of gay teens.

Tracy Morgan said, "Gays need to quit being pussies and not be whining about something as insignificant as bullying." Morgan also said that kids learn how to be gay from the media, which echoed comments made a few years ago (which also sparked boos). He then said that his son had "better talk to me like a man and not in a gay voice or I'll pull out a knife and stab that little nigga to death."

Kevin Rogers, who saw the Tracy Morgan concert said that several people walked out, but that most were cheering. Said Rogers, "I'm not angry... just very very very disappointed."

Human Rights Campaign and GLAAD (which has been a big supporter of 30 Rock, on which Tracy Morgan stars) have demanded a public apology from Morgan.

The Nashville show was on June 3- does anyone know why this is hitting the media so late?

After the show, Tracy Morgan kept digging the hole while explaining that his rant was intended as comedy: ""I don't "fucking care if I piss off some gays, because if they can take a fucking dick up their ass... they can take a fucking joke."

Tracy Morgan Apologizes

Tracy Morgan issued a public apology for the routine: “I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context."
