Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen grossed an estimated $16 million on midnight. That's the second highest midnight gross. The Dark Knight is still number one with $18.5 million. Then again, The Dark Knight opened on a weekend while this movie opened in the middle of the week. It makes a difference but also acknowledges what a success it is to pull off those numbers on a work night.
